It can't bring back what's already gone
Wanova copies a message as it arrives. So it shows you what gets deleted from the moment you switch it on — not what vanished last week. Nothing can do that: a message deleted for everyone isn't sitting on a server waiting to be fetched, not by us and not by WhatsApp.
It isn't an undo for your own deletions
It catches what other people delete for everyone — the message that turns into “This message was deleted” in your chat. If you're looking to un-delete something you sent, this isn't it.

Where it lives

No server sees it
The copy sits in your browser's own storage and the media in your browser's database. There's no Wanova server in this feature at all — no upload, no sync, no backup. We couldn't read your recovered messages if we wanted to.
The sender isn't told
Nothing goes back to them. The copy is made on your side and stays there — Wanova doesn't notify anyone that a deleted message was read.
Off until you want it
It ships switched off. Turn it on when you need it, turn it off and it stops keeping copies. Clearing your browser data or removing the extension takes the whole archive with it.
Your computer has to be on for this to work: the copy is made when the message reaches WhatsApp Web. If someone sends and deletes while your laptop is shut, there was never a copy to keep.

Can it recover messages that were deleted before I installed it?
No. This is the one thing to be clear about before you buy. Wanova keeps a copy of a message the moment it arrives, so it can only show you what was deleted after you switched it on. Anything already gone is gone — it isn't stored anywhere for us to fetch, not by us and not by WhatsApp.
Can it recover messages I deleted myself?
No. It catches what other people delete for everyone — the message that turns into “This message was deleted” in your chat. It's not an undo button for your own deletions.
Does it save photos and voice notes, or only text?
Photos, videos, documents and voice notes too, at full resolution — not thumbnails. Wanova downloads the media when the message arrives and keeps it in your browser's own storage, so a deleted photo is still a photo you can open, and a deleted voice note still plays.
Where do the recovered messages go?
Nowhere but your machine. The copy lives in your browser's local storage and its media in your browser's database — no Wanova server is involved and we never see any of it. Clearing your browser data or removing the extension deletes it.
Does my computer have to be on?
The message has to reach you while WhatsApp Web is open — that's when the copy is made. If someone sends and deletes while your laptop is shut, there was never a copy to keep.
Will the sender know I saw it?
