Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 August 2026 · Effective: 6 August 2026

Privacy Policy Cookies & local storage Data Processing Agreement Sub-processors Terms of Service

The short version

  • Wanova automates WhatsApp Web, which WhatsApp does not officially support. That risk is real, it's yours, and no tool can remove it.
  • We don't promise your number won't get banned. Anyone who does is lying to you.
  • Don't spam. Messaging people who never asked to hear from you breaks these terms — and is the main way numbers get banned anyway.
  • AI drafts; you send. You're responsible for what goes out under your name.
  • Cancel any time, and every charge carries a 30-day money-back guarantee (§7). One flat price per plan. Consumers in the EU/EEA and UK also get the statutory 14-day withdrawal right in §8.

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and the operator of Wanova ("we", "us") — reachable at [email protected] — and cover the Wanova browser extension, the wanova.io website and the api.wanova.io service (together, "Wanova"). By creating an account or using Wanova you accept them. If you're using Wanova for an organisation, you confirm you can accept on its behalf — and the Data Processing Agreement then applies too.

You must be 16 or older and able to enter a contract.

2. What Wanova is

Wanova is a browser extension that adds features to the WhatsApp Web you already use: broadcasts, templates, scheduling, export, auto-replies, a follow-up list, translation and an AI reply assistant. It runs in your browser, using your own WhatsApp account.

Wanova is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta, and WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. We have no relationship with them and no ability to influence what they do about your account.

3. The risk you're taking on

Read this one properly — it's the term that matters most.

Automating WhatsApp Web is not officially supported by WhatsApp, and using a tool like Wanova may breach WhatsApp's own terms. WhatsApp can restrict, suspend or permanently ban your number, at their discretion, with no appeal we can help with. This can happen even if you use Wanova carefully.

You accept this risk. It is yours, not ours. If your number is banned, we are not liable for that or for anything that follows from it — lost customers, lost revenue, lost history.

We make no ban-protection claim of any kind. Pacing, delays and number validation are risk controls that reduce the odds; they do not grant immunity and we will never tell you otherwise. Any claim that a tool makes you "ban-proof" or "undetectable" is false — including if you ever see it said about ours.

Our honest advice: use a number you could afford to lose, message people who expect to hear from you, and start slow.

You're also responsible for complying with the law where you and your recipients are — including data protection and anti-spam rules (the GDPR and the ePrivacy rules in Europe, CAN-SPAM in the US, or your local equivalent) and any consent you need before messaging someone. In GDPR terms you are the controller for the people you message; see §15 and the DPA.

4. What you may not do

  • Spam. Don't send bulk messages to people who haven't agreed to hear from you, and don't buy lists to message.
  • Harass, defraud or deceive. No scams, phishing, impersonation, or messaging anyone who's asked you to stop.
  • Break the law. No illegal content, no illegal marketing.
  • Share or resell your account. Your subscription is for you and your own team, not for rental or resale. Don't share your login.
  • Tamper with licensing. Don't reverse-engineer, patch or circumvent the licence check, and don't try to use paid features you haven't paid for.
  • Abuse the AI relay. Don't use it as a general-purpose AI proxy, don't try to exceed your credit balance by technical means, and don't resell its output as a service.
  • Attack the service. No probing, overloading or interfering with our systems or other users.

If you do these things we may suspend or terminate your account, without refund.

5. Your account and linked numbers

Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens under your account. One subscription covers one account, and each plan allows a number of linked WhatsApp numbers — 3 on Starter, 10 on Professional, unlimited on Expert — which share the account's monthly AI credits. A link belongs to a WhatsApp account, not to a person or a device, so however many people work a number, and on however many computers, it is the same subscription. You can see and unlink your numbers at any time on your account page.

Your extension holds a signed licence that is re-checked regularly and works offline for up to 14 days, so a dropped connection doesn't stop your work.

6. Trial

New accounts get a 7-day free trial with the full feature set and no credit card, including AI on a reduced pool of credits. When it ends, paid features lock until you pick a plan. There's no free tier. One trial per person — don't create accounts to loop it.

7. Plans, billing, cancellation and refunds

Plans are $14.99 (Starter), $24.99 (Professional) and $34.99 (Expert) per account per month, with a discount for paying yearly. The price is per account — not per person and not per WhatsApp number: each plan covers several numbers (see §5) and as many teammates as work them, at one price. Prices are shown in USD and exclude tax: our payment provider may act as merchant of record and will add VAT or local sales tax at checkout based on your billing country. The total you'll be charged is always shown before you confirm.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account; access continues to the end of the period you've paid for. We may change prices with notice, and a change never applies to a period you've already paid for.

30-day money-back guarantee. Ask within 30 days of any charge — your first payment or any renewal — and we refund that charge in full, no questions asked. Yearly plans included, at full value. We don't deduct payment-processing fees and we don't bill you for the days you used it.

Two ways to ask, and you don't have to give a reason for either. The quickest is inside the extension — open Account → Refunds: it shows the exact amount you get back and sends the request in one click. You can also just email [email protected], and that route is always open — it works if you've already cancelled, if you can't sign in, or if the in-app check can't reach your payment record for any reason. Neither route is a worse deal than the other. Either way we refund to the payment method you paid with, within 14 days of hearing from you.

Two limits, and they are the only two: the guarantee is one refund per account — it's there so you can try Wanova without risk, not as a way to use it for free — and it doesn't apply to an account we've terminated under §4. After 30 days you still have every right your law gives you: this guarantee sits on top of the statutory rights in §8, never in place of them, and where those give you more, you get whichever is better for you. Nothing here removes rights you have under your local consumer law.

8. If you're a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK

These rights are yours by law when you buy as an individual outside your trade or profession. They sit on top of everything else in these terms, and nothing below them takes them away.

14-day right of withdrawal

  • You may withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of entering it, without giving a reason. A clear statement to [email protected] is enough — for example: "I withdraw from my Wanova subscription, ordered on [date], account [email]."
  • Because the service starts immediately, by subscribing you ask us to begin during the withdrawal period. If you then withdraw, we refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the days you had access (Art. 14(3) of the Consumer Rights Directive). If you never used it, you get everything back.
  • Our §7 guarantee is more generous, and it is yours too. Inside 30 days you can simply take the full refund instead — no proportionate deduction, no reason needed. These rights sit side by side; take whichever leaves you better off.
  • We refund within 14 days of being told, by the same means you paid.
  • The free trial costs nothing, so there is nothing to withdraw from until you subscribe.

Conformity

You're entitled to a service that matches what we described and works as it should (Directive 2019/770 and its national implementations, or the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in the UK). If it doesn't, tell us: you can require us to bring it into conformity and, if we can't within a reasonable time, get a price reduction or cancel. The "as is" wording in §11 does not apply to you.

Complaints and disputes

Write to [email protected] — we answer complaints in writing. We are not currently signed up to an alternative dispute resolution body, and are not obliged to be. You can always take a complaint to the consumer protection authority or the courts of the country where you live (§16).

9. AI

  • You send, not us. The assistant writes a draft into your composer and you decide whether to send it. Semantic auto-replies, where you enable them, pause visibly before sending and cancel the moment you start typing. What goes out under your name is yours.
  • AI gets things wrong. Drafts can be inaccurate, out of date, or wrong about your prices and policies. Read them before you send. Don't rely on AI output as legal, financial, medical or professional advice.
  • AI credits. Each plan includes a monthly pool of AI credits, shared across every WhatsApp number on the account. How much each request costs depends on the AI model behind it; your account page shows what has been used and what it went on. Background updates can only ever use part of the pool, so automation cannot spend the credits you meant to use yourself. When the pool is empty, AI pauses and we offer you more credits — we don't bill you for overage you didn't ask for. Local features keep working.
  • Managed AI requests are relayed to an AI provider and not stored by us — see the Privacy Policy and the sub-processor list. Don't put special-category data through it (DPA §4).

10. Ownership

Wanova — the software, brand and site — stays ours. Your subscription is a licence to use it, not a transfer of ownership. Your data stays yours: your templates, notes, lists and messages are on your machine and we claim nothing in them. Feedback you send us, we may use to improve the product.

11. No warranty

Wanova is provided "as is". We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will keep working if WhatsApp changes how WhatsApp Web behaves, or that it will produce any particular business result. WhatsApp can change or break things at any time and without notice — when that happens we'll fix what we can, as fast as we can, but we can't promise a timeline. If you're a consumer, §8 overrides this paragraph.

12. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows: we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost customers, lost data, or account bans or restrictions imposed by WhatsApp. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, our liability under the GDPR, or a consumer's statutory rights.

13. Ending it

You can stop any time by cancelling and removing the extension, and you can delete your account outright from your account page — see Privacy §11. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks §4, that we're legally required to close, or where we stop offering the service — in which case we'll give reasonable notice and refund any period paid for but not delivered.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced before they take effect, and continuing to use Wanova after that means you accept them; if you don't, you can cancel. The date at the top always shows the current version.

15. Data protection

What we collect and why is in the Privacy Policy. Two roles, kept apart on purpose: we are the controller for your account data, and you are the controller for the people you message. Where managed AI has us process your contacts' messages on your instruction, we act as your processor under the Data Processing Agreement, which is part of these terms. Local features give us no access to that data at all.

16. Governing law

We don't impose a choice of law or a foreign venue on you. These terms name none, so the ordinary rules decide — which for a consumer means the mandatory law of the country you live in (Art. 6 of Regulation (EC) 593/2008), and courts in your own country. Nothing here removes mandatory rights or protections you have where you live.
